On this Heal Talk Tuesday, I honor the courage, strength, and resilience of our veterans—and the silent battles we all face within. Even as a hypnotherapist, I experience these moments too. After my 10th annual 3E Event, I came home filled with energy yet utterly depleted. My mind wouldn’t rest. Thoughts replayed over and over—the highs and the lows, what went right and what didn’t. That’s when I caught myself in the loop of self-judgment and anxiety.
Pause and Breathe
So, I did what I teach: I paused. I breathed. I wrote everything down—my thoughts, my feelings, my gratitude. The healing began the moment I allowed myself to release instead of suppress.
We often forget that the mind can be both our greatest ally and our toughest opponent. The inner battlefield is where transformation happens. You cannot heal what you continue to fight. Healing begins when you listen with compassion, replace self-criticism with calm, and give yourself permission to evolve.
Hypnosis
Hypnosis and guided imagery create that pause between thought and reaction. They allow you to act instead of react, and to replace the noise of negativity with the peace of clarity. Whether you are a veteran, a caregiver, or simply human—you deserve that freedom.
Take a moment today to notice your inner self-talk. Write it down. Release it. Then replace it with compassion:
“I am safe. I am capable. I did my best.”

Welcome to Heal Talk Tuesdays with Liza, where
transformation begins as we evoke, embrace, and evolve.
Greetings, greetings, greetings, greetings,
and welcome to Hill Talk Tuesdays with Liza.
It’s so good to be here with you, isn’t it?
Today is Veterans Day, and here in the United States we celebrate an acknowledged
dose who have and still serve our country
with courage, sacrifice, and resilience.
And the bottles that they still continue, those who are serving, internally.
You know, we thank each and every one of you
who are serving in the service and with your
strength, giving thanks to your strength,
your courage, and your dedication for freedom.
I believe this is what freedom is all about.
We are all striving for that, and it’s freedom
for our country, and it’s sometimes freedom for…
our internal battles that we go through.
Because it’s honoring those who are not only in the uniform, but all
who have fought a silent battle, and we are still battling silently.
It can be trauma, stress, grief, self-doubt.
You know, many veterans experience that inner
war because of the battles, the noises, the
war they have been to, but when they finish,
and they are home, they still have it with them.
It’s in there. It’s banked in their memory bank.
And so are we as individuals, and it’s not only those who serve
in the military, but we battle, and we have the same internally.
And it can be struggling with fear. It can
be struggling with guilt, negative self-talk.
And negative thoughts, you see the battlefield is not always in the
outside, but most often it’s within ourselves. It’s in our mind.
So the inner battle that we are talking about is
very much the mind often becomes our own enemy.
The way we think, the way we behave, actually it’s like replying that internal
self-judgment, self-criticism, self-yield, and
the fears that we have created for ourselves.
I’m Lise Boubari, your expert hypnotherapist.
As you know, just a few days ago, last Saturday, I had one
of the most wonderful events that I put together every year.
And this year, we celebrated my 10th 3-e event. It was wonderful. Amazing energy.
The people who attended are attendees. They
loved it. Our speakers won better than the other.
My co-host, David Fagan, thank you very much.
And I want to say, the energy was great.
And here’s this thing honestly, and I want to
be honest with you, because this is being raw.
Just as I am, the way I work with my clients is exactly what I did with myself.
I got home, depleted, and yet full of energy.
And it was full of energy because of the day.
And then feeling depleted because it was over.
How do you experience that? Just like everything we go through.
Everything is like the buildup to get to
that level. And then suddenly, it’s all done.
The more importantly is when I got into bed, and the mind started going.
And it’s like seeing everything, the imagery, the thoughts, the
thinking of the pros, the negatives, the pros, the negatives.
How did it go? How did they feel? What happened? What was right? What was wrong?
And everything, it’s like snowballed. I was up until
4 o’clock in the morning, even having my own anxiety.
Knowing how to manage my anxiety, realizing,
okay, this is my internal process.
I go through this all the time because when things are left unchecked,
unexpressed, unrevealed, it can create anxiety in somewhere.
And guess what? Self-sabotash. And that’s what I’m working with, with my clients.
You can’t heal what you keep fighting. Let me say that again.
You cannot heal something when you are fighting it. When you
are constantly mowing over it, over it, you’re in this loop.
So when we are in that negative loop, we can’t come to clarity.
So the healing begins when we listen with compassion.
When we put everything down, that’s what I did.
Oh my god, you should see my notebook. I sat down the next morning and I wrote all
the pros, all the cons, all the pros, all the cons, my feelings, and how I felt.
So that I can express it and release it instead of suppressing it.
Because my mind, even my mind, as a hypnotherapist, can play tricks on me.
And I’m sure if you are not trained, how to process it, how to overcome
certain anxieties, fears, even guilt and shame, then you hold on to it.
On top of everything, there is some family things that are happening.
And then, underline expectations.
So we, I am not immune to any of it as much as you are.
So we’re all in the same boat. It’s knowing how to handle it, realizing how
to dismantle it is where the gift comes in, is where my expertise comes in.
So, I did my own check and balance.
Because hypnosis allows the mind to pause, to pause the
battle, to come to understand creating that space between the
thoughts, either the negative loop, and then the reaction,
so that I can stop, so I can pause and act versus react.
Because hypnosis rewires the subconscious mind that goes into that loop of, I
did wrong, I did this, I did that, that that that that that that that that right.
And then when you put it all into paper or you come to
clarity, you come to wow, this is what exactly happened.
And then it’s replacing compassion with self
criticism, with calm and confidence, recognizing what
happened, all the amazing messages, all the amazing
energy, and then understanding how we as everyday folks.
Are almost the same as the veterans and the civilians that are
truly alike, except we all can benefit from this self-nosis.
And to reduce PTSD, to reduce anxiety, to reduce internal dialogue and battle, and
instead of going into the negative, we find ways how to evolve in a more positive way.
I’m sure if I ask you to raise a hand or say yes, if
you have gone through the same thing, sometimes we take
a test, and we come out thinking, oh my god, I didn’t
answer this, I didn’t do good, I did up up up up up up.
And then come to think about you get the answers, you got to be plus
in, wow, okay, all the expectations are so far you’re expecting to name.
And because of the stress, you get the result and you
got the B plus and you go, why didn’t I have an A.
So having that compassion for yourself and realizing you’re amazing just as you were.
And then finding the ways, like the techniques and the tools that I
guide my clients and I teach my clients, that’s where everything comes.
Because guided visualization, and oh, this is another
thing, I was talking to a client of mine, just
yesterday she was sitting here, and for the first
time, and I said, how good are you in visualization?
And she said, I had a hard time visualizing something.
So I asked, how good are you in creating an image, your
own imagery. And she says, oh, I do image real of the time.
So it’s all semantics. So someone thinks they cannot visualize,
but when you change the words, just like I did, and I asked her,
about imagery, if you can imagine in your mind, and she said, I can imagine that
I cannot visualize because to her
visualization is visualizing seeing something.
But imagery is what she creates it, not that
it’s already there and she has to see it.
So just by guided imagery to create that inner peace, I help
you find ways, tools and techniques to do exactly what I did.
Instead of going into that negative loop of self-destruction,
self-criticism, lack of compassion to truly evoke, that’s
exactly my three-e method, evoking what was, putting it all down,
so that I can embrace my energy, our speakers, our sponsors,
my co-host, the MC, and seeing everything from the outside without being critical,
but analyzing, becoming analytical with
compassion, because our life is experiences.
And the stories that we make is the way we want to understand.
So if we turn it into chapters, every story, every chapter,
once you’re done with a chapter, no need to go back.
That’s how we evolve with positive understanding, compassion
for yourself, compassion for the experiences, compassion for
the role you played in it, and give yourself kudos, because
you had a part, and you made the best decision at that time.
And that’s all you can do. Say thank you to
you, and remind yourself that you did the best.
Because with breathwork, imagery, you create this inner
calmness for your nervous system, because the subconscious
mind does not understand if you are doing negative talk
or positive talk, because that energy is the same, right?
So, when I create a compassion, loving, and understanding, I did the best that I could
with what I had, and now what? That’s where the involved is. Ten years, now what?
So if you were part of us, please do share. If you are
wanting a change in your life, either personal, your
own private hypnotherapy, one-on-one, if there is a
change you would like to make in your life, by all means.
I’ve been practicing for 24 years. Transformation can happen
instantly, instantaneously, or it can take few sessions.
And sometimes you get the ahas, you get the acknowledgement, you get
all the tools and techniques, and perhaps days later, it all clicks in.
I never know when your transformation
happens. But if I can be part of it to guide
you, to make that change happen, so I can take you from that pain, to that great,
forgiveness, from pain to gain, by all means, call me.
So for today, I want you to notice your
internal self-talk, as you speak to yourself,
to have more compassion, and know that everything that you do has a good reason.
And when you catch something negative, write it, express
it, put it down on paper, because when it calls from
your mindset, to your fingers, and then out, then you
are releasing it out of your body energetically as well.
I love writing instead of typing. It’s a different flow that happens. And replace it
with “I am safe, I am capable, I can imagine
something better, and I did my best.”
I talked about this at my events, and I’ll say
it again. Keep the best, and dump the rest.
Practice three minutes of deep breathing, into
your stomach, into your chest, and blow it out.
Release it, and let it go. And to all my viewers, right
here, I want to say thank you. Thank you for who you are.
And for those who are battling your own silent battles, there is a
way to express and free yourself. Freedom and healing starts within.
Even when you keep it silent and you are not
expressing your holding yourself in a cage.
It’s time for you to unlock that door and walk out, even when it’s a golden cage.
