Letting Go

Why let go and how-to.
Question to think of: “what are you holding on to and for.”
-Change your perception — embrace the root cause as a blessing in disguise.
-Cry it out. Crying away your negative feelings releases tension built up in your body.
-Meditate. Be present in the moment (instead of dwelling on the past or worrying about the future).
-Move your body. Step and move forward in life!
-Focus your energy on things you can actually control instead of dwelling on things you can’t.
-Express your feelings through a creative outlet, writing, dancing, singing, or painting.
-Make a to-do list of all the things you are willing to let go of, and cross it off when you’re done.
-Visualize a box in your head labeled “Expectations.” Whenever you start dwelling on how things should be or should have been, mentally shelve the thoughts in this box.
-Lastly, shift the word “I Should” to “I would Like to”
