Stress speaks through in the body. Hypnosis can help you stop, reset, and heal from the inside out.
Today I want to talk about stress—not just the kind you feel in your mind, but the kind your body carries quietly until it finally speaks out. Stress isn’t always about shouting into a pillow or snapping at a loved one. Sometimes, it’s the nagging headache, the tight shoulders, or the knot in your stomach that won’t go away.
I know this personally. Years ago, I was juggling multiple jobs, event planning at night, paralegal by day, and ignoring my body’s cries for rest. Eventually, my health broke down—carpal tunnel, water in my knees, constant fatigue. But through hypnosis and self-healing work, I was able to release the emotional weight behind the physical pain.
And that’s what I want to share with you today. Stress can’t always be avoided, but we can reprogram how our subconscious responds. Our minds can’t tell the difference between being late for a meeting and being chased by a tiger. That’s why we snap, clench, or feel anxious over small triggers. The good news? We can edit those responses and build healthier coping patterns.
I even guide clients through simple, practical tools—like using a stop sign visualization combined with a hand anchor—to interrupt the stress cycle. One client recently discovered how this process not only helped her feel lighter emotionally but even shifted her body, releasing inches where the scale showed nothing.
Healing begins when we stop ignoring ourselves. Stress may show up uninvited, but you have the power to stop, breathe, and reset.

Greetings, greetings, greetings, and welcome to Heal Talk
Tuesday. This is Liza. It’s so good to be here with you, isn’t it?
Happy Healthy Tuesday is what I call about
today. Ladies, can we agree about something?
You know, stress doesn’t always look like screening into a pillow, or sometimes
forgetting why you even walked into the kitchen, actually three times.
Right? Sometimes it’s happened to me that I
stare at the email, and it’s been so long that
I’ve been staring at that email that even
Grammarly gives up, and it’s like, what’s up?
It’s going in and out of that funk, and sometimes stress looks like we are holding
it all together, and yet there is this inner voice that is yelling really again.
The truth is our bodies don’t always laugh with us. They keep score.
As a matter of fact, I was reading a book, and it is the body is
keeping score because stress shows up in many, many different ways.
It shows up physically. It can show up like a headache. Tight shoulders, stomach
nut, where we talk about gut feeling, and yet it’s like it’s so knotted and tense.
Especially women who juggle multiple roles like
motherhood, sisterhood, caregiver, partner, friend,
and yes, even colleague, and going to work, and
we suppress so much that information and emotions.
Because the subconscious mind does not know the difference
between I am late for a meeting, or I am being chased by a tiger.
The stress factor that the moment you sit in
the car, and you’re like, “Hurry, hurry, I
gotta get there,” and you’re holding so tight,
or when someone speaks to you, you snap.
That’s exactly what I used to be. You see, over 25 years ago
before I started hypnotherapy, I used to be an assistant to
attorney, working at law firms, paralegal, and on top of that, I
had a secondary job, and that it was planning corporate events.
As a matter of fact, I do have that business card. It was
a beautiful fold, and then I had a ribbon on it. Actually,
I’m going to pull it out and take a picture and show it
to you in my post. I’ll put a picture. It was yours truly.
Really? yours truly? But that’s exactly what it
was. It was very VIP. That was over 25 years ago.
I would work at the law firm and get off at about 5.36 o’clock, go
home, change, and then get ready for the events and we can’t do events.
It was the perfect way I knew to be busy just by being busy. In order for
me not to feel, not to sing, and guess what? The body broke down on me.
I had carpal tunnel, I had me. Water was in my knees. They were
drawing water, and I used to dance. I couldn’t dance. I was
snapping. I was upset. There was an underlying message. Emotions.
Anger, resentment, everything was building up in my body.
It was through hypnosis, and that I got to heal myself, not
having an ovarian cyst, and plus doing the work on myself.
Now, I don’t. I hike. I jog. I have no issues. Feminine
issues. Plus, I have more of a pleasant person to be around.
The subconscious is an amazing thing. Yesterday, I had a
client that we were sharing things, and she’s been coming to me
for at least over eight sessions, because she is discovering
new things and working on herself. Yesterday, the work we did.
She’s walking out after 50 minutes of hypnosis, and we
had pluck prior to that. I said, we haven’t measured you.
She’s like, “Oh, the weight hasn’t changed. The scale
hasn’t changed. I feel lighter. I feel so much better.”
Today’s session was the cream of the crop, because we discovered so many
other things. We worked on it, and it was so wonderful. Let’s measure.
I take my measure, and because she is part of
my stand-up to slim down, she’s learning how to
stand up for herself to stand up for her voice,
and have a voice, and say the things she wants.
I said, “Come on in. Let’s measure.” She’s like, “Okay,
let’s measure, because I’d like to see we did measure.”
For someone who had not lost weight and had been struggling
for losing weight, she had dropped an inch and a half,
not only from the bosoms, but also the waist, and her hip
area, because she had been doing a lot of walking to inches.
You see, it may not be in pounds, but when you look
and dropping, your body has dropped two inches. And a
lot of it due to the work that we do through hypnosis
is peeling away the things that are weighing you down.
The things that have been heavy energetically,
emotionally, and mentally, the things
you have weighed and took it upon yourself that has been weighing down on you.
So, hypnotherapy shines, and I’m saying that
because it speaks to the subconscious mind, and the
very part of your mind that triggers, that racing
heart or clenching jaw, she feels so much better.
She is expressing, she feels lighter, and there is no more
of the biting her nails and constantly hurting herself.
So, that self hurt. Sometimes it’s such an early
age habitual thing as that we do. And if you or
someone you know, those that, those are habits as
that we do during stress time or board in time.
When we are bored, when we are stressed, when we are anxious, we
get into that self comforting, self soothing, and then when it gets
really hard, like one of my clients, that until the time it doesn’t
believe she doesn’t feel good because she needs to paint factor.
Well, the pain factor comes from somewhere very deep into subconscious
that has been stored, and the body reads that because long ago, and that’s
what it was dealt with, and she created a habit to soothe herself that
way, that has become a habitual thing until now that she is 40 years.
And that can be replaced, edited, and shifted. Because we
cannot delete anything from our subconscious mind, and yet
we can shift, we can edit it to have a healthier way of
coping with past hurt and experiences and that word traumatic.
That’s it. And hypnosis redo what? Reprogrammed
that inner alarm system that instead of having
the triggers that respond to stress factor that
you think it’s happening now, and yet it’s not.
But the subconscious does not know the
difference between then and now when it is a
trigger response factor. So, there is a real trigger and it’s not just a zoom call.
So, just imagine you can close your eyes for a moment. Go
ahead. Take a nice deep breath. You can do this right now.
And imagine a giant red stop sign every time that
you close your eyes and because you have been
driving, you have been a lot of places. So, just
imagine as you’re driving, you get to a stop sign.
And when you get to a stop sign, just imagine right here right
now, think of one habit that you would like to edit and stop.
Just one habit. Something that is negative that you want to change, modify, or let go.
So, with your eyes closed, have that one image.
And then at that very moment, you can put your
without giving opening your eyes. You know where
your thumb is and where your index finger is.
And you can put those together and just very gently rub it,
round and about, round and about, round and about. And bring the
third finger and have your middle finger, index finger and
thumb, the three fingers going round and about, round and about.
And then imagine as you get to a stop sign and you have the three
fingers going round and about, round and about. And then insert a color,
maybe the color of red because that’s what’s the stop sign is all
about. The color of red, red reminds you that it is time to stop. Stop.
Every time that you stress or you think about that, you put
those three fingers together and you just imagine, stop.
Every time you get to a stop sign, you stop and put the
three fingers together. Every time you see a stop sign, when
you come to a stop, you put those three fingers together
and you just massage, release and let go of that habit.
As a matter of fact, every day and every
way, no matter where you are, you can even
think about the stop sign since you already
know what the stop sign looks like. You can automatically put those fingers
together and as you’re doing this one, the other
one releases and let’s see, go. You can just go like
that. Stop. I am ready to stop. I am willing to
stop. I am ready to change. I am ready to let go.
I am ready to modify. I am ready to take charge. I am ready
to be in control. So, replace it with a calming face and
this phrase becomes, I am ready to let it go. Like I am safe.
I am in control. I am in total control. I am ready to stop.
I can. And when you do this, you can even say, I got this. I got this. So, that
means that younger version of you, that created this habit because of soothing
you, all of you. And it doesn’t matter at what age, what time it doesn’t
matter. This present moment, reminding that younger version of you, I got this.
And just by doing this, it may sound simple but repeated when
you repeat it, day in, day out, at least three times a day. And
if you do it for 33 days in a row, believe it or not, you will
modify that one habit behavior and change it to a healthier one.
So, the next time stress shows up, even if it is uninvited, automatically,
whether you are in box or your wristband or your family group
is around. Remember, your subconscious mind knows exactly how to
soothe and change and listen to you. So, you are in total control.
You can open your eyes. And if you have already opened your eyes, you have seen the
three fingers coming together. And thinking of the image of a stop sign, and every
time you get to a stop sign, you can just do this and stop. Do this. It’s not. Let
it go. I am safe. I’m in control. I can do this. Got it? Do this. I love me. No.
What do you think? So, and one more thing. When you do this, and
remember, instead of ignoring yourself, you are going to express
yourself. And talk about expression. I’m just giving you a
